Today, we’re excited to share that Sonder is expanding to Seattle with licensed accommodations properties. Guests can now book spaces in the Solis building, with plans to open additional locations in Seattle in the coming months and years.
It’s our top priority that every stay with us is as safe and comfortable as possible. As a tech-enabled hospitality company, we’ve long offered digital concierge, check-ins/outs from your phone, and no crowded lobbies or lines at the front desks. All of our spaces are cleaned professionally, with elevated standards based on WHO and CDC guidelines. Additionally, the majority of our spaces, including those at the Solis, are self-contained with fully equipped kitchens, laundry in-unit, and more room to spread out. Now more than ever before, travelers value digital-first contactless service, and we are pleased to bring this offering to Seattle.
In Seattle, our spaces at the Solis building take things one step further, with an advanced air system that circulates clean air 12 times per day, resulting in 80% less energy used for the building’s heating and cooling needs. As the first apartment project on the West Coast to receive a Passive House certification—the highest standard for sustainability—Sonder’s Solis units are both environmentally-conscious and better for guests’ health. Other unique property features include an expansive rooftop garden, high ceilings, premium appliances, and easy access to a new ground-level retail space.
“We’re eager to finally welcome Sonder and their guests to our newest ultra-sustainable building, Solis,” said Marc Coluccio, COO at SolTerra. “Having a next-generation hospitality brand like Sonder come to Seattle, and launching at our new property, opens the door to those seeking an elevated, comfortable and safe stay in a top-notch location.”
As a partner to every city we operate in, we are proud to be joining such a diverse community with a distinct culture. With teams on the ground in every Sonder market, we have always taken a community-based approach, working with local housekeeping partners, supporting nearby shops and restaurants, and partnering with vendors and suppliers in the area. We look forward to continuing to build relationships with a variety of partners in Seattle, and ultimately contributing to the vibrancy of the city.
